Burke Praises Prescription Drug Drop Box Program
COLUMBUS— State Senator Dave Burke (R- Marysville) is commending the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on the announcement of their newly-established Ohio Prescription Drug Box Program. Partnering with the Ohio Department of Health and the Drug Free Action Alliance, this initiative will help continue the fight against prescription drug abuse by allowing residents to deposit unwanted, expired or unused prescription drugs at drop boxes at local law enforcement agencies

Burke announces passage of bill to require the POW/MIA flag be displayed at Ohio rest stops
Columbus-State Senator Dave Burke announced that the Ohio Senate approved Senate Bill 222 yesterday, his legislation that would require the POW/MIA flag to be displayed in addition to the U.S. flag and the Ohio state flag at rest areas along the Ohio Turnpike and Ohio interstate highways. Current Ohio law encourages the POW/MIA to be flown but does not require it.

Friday that Senator Dave Burke (R‐Marysville) has been chosen as their 2011 Legislator of the Year. The state disability group presented Burke with the award in a ceremony held last week at the association’ annual convention in Columbus.
