Responsible Government
Government should reflect the family finance values demonstrated at each kitchen table across Ohio. Plan a budget, live within your means, and sometimes find creative and different ways to achieve goals. Ohio should have a core principle of maximizing the value of every tax dollar expended towards a desired goal. Additionally, corruption should not be tolerated at any level of government. Here are my objectives for creating a more responsible government:
- Balance budgets
- Increase budget transparency, including tax expenditures at all levels of government
- Increase competition amongst local governments
- Reduce Medicaid fraud
- Increase legislative oversight of State departments and agencies
- Reduce the burden placed on our children by borrowing today what we cannot afford tomorrow
- Decrease corruption amongst public officials in Ohio
